- There's a sneak-peek of what November's Writing Lesson looks like in
"published form." I had my aide hang up some of my kiddos' work in the
hallway for that lesson this week. This lesson is based on a great
music video that really engages the kids, and there's a link to that
video at the blog post. Check it out, if you're interested. Here's a

- Dena and I sent out updated "Sacred Writing Time" Powerpoint slides
this weekend to all who purchased a subscription between August 17 and
now. We had a few subscribers' e-mails "bounce back" for some reason,
and I want to make sure everyone has their November and December slides
ready to use! If you ordered the slides, and didn't receive the update
this weekend, please let us know ASAP. Here is a direct link to that

For those of you still interested in following the Writing Fix Network, here is a temporary link to Corbett Harrison's classroom. He was the webmast of the Writing Fix page. Enjoy:}
Crazy, crazy first day of the month. All good...but crazy! Sorry for the late posting, but here is the link to October's "Lesson of the Month" and "Writer's Notebook" prompt of the month: http://corbettharrison.com/
We just updated our server to be able to accommodate more simultaneous on-line users, but I don't think the new settings have taken effect yet. If you click on the link and see "Service Unavailable," please wait 15-30 seconds and try again.
I'm really happy with the results I am seeing with this month's lesson--based on Jack Gantos' Dead End in Norvelt--and I hope you see similar excitement and energy from your students.
Have a great October, everyone.
